With the support of GF's 22nm FD-SOI (ie 22FDX) process, MicroLED solution developer Micledi Microdisplays has reached a cooperation with GF to realize the brightness, resolution, Power, size and scale economies, and become affordable technology for consumers.
According to eeNews, Sean Lord, CEO of Micledi Microdisplays, said, "We are delighted to be working with GF as we move from pilot line production to volume production in world-class wafer fabs."

The supporting integrated circuits, which can be customized for different customer applications, will provide image processing, driving and control functions, and use wafer-to-wafer hybrid bonding to finally complete the manufacture of display modules.
